Organization: Save the Children
Country: Zambia Closing date: 16 Jun 2016 FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER – ZAMBIA Location: – Lusaka Save the Children is the world’s leading independent organisation for children. We work in 120 countries. We save children’s lives; we fight for their rights; we help them fulfil their potential. We work together, with our partners, to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives. We have over two million supporters worldwide and raised 1.9 billion dollars last year to reach more children than ever before, through programmes in health, nutrition, education, protection and child rights, also in times of humanitarian crises. Following a major transition, our international programmes are now delivered through a merged operation with 15,000 staff, managed through seven regional hubs and reporting to a relatively small, central office. We’re changing to become more efficient, more aligned, a better partner, a stronger advocate, a magnet for world-class people and relevant for the 21st century. Role Purpose: The Finance and Administration Manager (FAM) is responsible for the overall financial, agreement administrative, compliance and operations oversight of Zambia Rising project lead by Save the Children. The Zambia Rising project is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the Displaced Children and Orphans’ Fund (DCOF). The overall goal of the project is to improve systems and structures to ensure that most vulnerable children, adolescents and households have access to health and social services and family based care. The total project budget is $15,443,81 and is being implemented in 5 provinces and 16 districts in Zambia. The project has existing partners (American International Health Alliance, Boston University/ZCHARD, CHAMP Services Limited) and will engage two additional partners in the course of FY16 to support implementation of the Alternative Care component.
