Position based in Lusaka, Zambia, with the ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.

As National Director – World Vision Zambia, you will oversee the development and strategy of all country operations. World Vision Zambia was founded in 1981 and now serves thousands of children, their families and their communities across 40+ programme areas.

You are a highly accomplished visionary leader who combines proven business disciplines with inspirational management skills to effectively communicate global initiatives, cultivate relationships, and identify opportunities to successfully drive World Vision Zambia growth and development.

Requirements include:

  • Leadership and Management of the World Vision Zambia office
  • Strategy, Operating Plan and Long-and Short- Term Targets
  • Ministry Performance
  • Advocacy and Representation
  • Financial Management and Financial and Operational Audit Compliance
  • Safety and Security, Disaster Mitigation and Preparedness
  • Compliance and Country Legal Environment:
  • Vision Fund (World Vision MIicro-finance) Strategic Management:

Requirements include:

  • Post-graduate degree or equivalent experience in management or social sciences. Degree in International Development would be a plus.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience within the international relief and development sector, with oversight of budgets 10M+ USD and 250 staff.
  • At least 3 year experience in overseeing large Government grant, its acquisition and donor engagement.
  • Candidates with previous experience living and working in Southern Africa strongly preferred.
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50 % of the time.
